We offer Football, Basketball, Wrestling, Cross Country, Track, Trap, Golf, Softball, Baseball and Volleyball to our Junior High students who wish to participate in athletics. Speech, Jazz Band, Swing Choir and Knowledge Bowl are offered to those interested in extra art and academic activities. Elementary students are offered several athletic and fun activities through our Community Education and Recreation programs.
We offer a free breakfast program to all students in PreK-8. We are introducing and offering healthy snack choices for our K-2nd graders direct from the kitchen for these students during their snack breaks.
During the past year, we have worked on creating a successful Response-to-Intervention program for our elementary students with the help and dedication of our classroom teachers, paras and reading specialist. STEM courses are being offered for the first time this year for our middle school students. Thanks to the support of the community last fall, we have hired a technology integrationist and begun work to incorporate more technology into our everyday curriculum. A cart of LearnPads for each grade level in K-6 have been purchased and are ready to go for this school year. A cart of iPads will be available for our middle school staff and students to use throughout their day.
Our goal here is to make sure that all students are inspired to excel and develop the desire to be life-long learners.
